The Kashmir Files is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language film written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Abhishek Agarwal starring Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher. The film tells the story of the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in the early 1990’s due to the Kashmir Insurgency. The film was set to release theatrically worldwide on 26 January 2022, coinciding with India’s Republic Day, but was postponed due to the Omicron variant spread.[3] Now, the film is scheduled to release on 11 March 2022.
