Three people, including the driver, were killed in a head-on collision between a Raipura passenger bus and a microbus in Narsingdi. The accident took place on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway near the Marjal bus stand in the Upazila at 4 am on Thursday. Highway police could not immediately confirm the identities of the dead.
Bhairab Highway Police Sub-Inspector Khaled Mahmood said, ‘A passenger bus of Unique Paribahan was going from Sylhet to Dhaka at 4 am on Thursday. The bus came near the Marjal bus stand in the Upazila and collided head-on with an oncoming microbus. The microbus twisted in a head-on collision.
Three people, including the driver, were killed on the spot. After receiving the news, the highway police recovered the body and took it to Bhairab Highway police station. At that time the bus and the microbus were seized.
